NOT WHAT I PLANNED

NOT WHAT I PLANNED

A great reminder for us all, not just control freaks like myself, and the author, lol.

Desarie Annadurai

Here’s a little window into who I am. I like planning. I like having a schedule. I like making lists and getting things done. I love it when things go according to plan. I am satisfied when I can tick things off the list – some might say I am an organised freak. It’s just so much nicer when you know what you’re doing step by step, but how many of you know when you ask God to be present in your everyday life, when you ask Him to be actively present in the small and big decisions in your life things don’t really go to your plan… In fact these things you wanted to have accomplished by a certain time are now totally off schedule. Your plans are now interrupted by God. Lately, my prayers to God have been something like this “Where are you God?” or simply “Why?”

I went to a strip club

THIS! This is beautiful, FEARLESS LOVE and Church, THIS is how Christ loves us and how WE are supposed to love EVERYONE! ❤

just a jesus follower

strip clubA while back I was asked by a group of pastor’s wives to go with them to strip clubs.

That sentence alone sounds strange. But hang with me.

At first I was a little hesitant. And not for reasons you might think.

I love people. Especially ones who are broken; it’s part of my calling. But, given what I’ve walked through, I know how fragile broken people can be.

And I know how insensitive the church can be.

And I was uneasy.

But, these weren’t just any pastors wives.

They had a vision.

One that longed to love on women that society had thrown aside.

It reminded me a lot of Jesus.

So, I jumped on it.

Their plan was to visit these clubs once a month to deliver a meal and gift baskets. I joined them the first night and I’ll be honest, I had NO IDEA what to expect.

Meat Candy & MMA

I have neither. Lame sauce. I have a new workout program to start that’s MMA & kickboxing (Yes I know that sounds redundant) themed, but the worst sinus infection of my year going on. Even standing up at normal combat speed is excruciating. So I look longingly at the cover of the program, waiting for my body to heal its self enough for me to give it a go. Fluids and rest are the best…but boring. And Bacon. I have none of that either and that saddens me. *sigh* Sorry this is such a depressing post. Go watch funny cat videos on youtube and then do a handful of burpees, that’ll cheer ya up!

My spiritual gifts studies are progressing, and the leadership course I was attending through my church has come to completion! My pastor rocks, he’s letting me borrow the dvd to re-watch the lessons and get the couple I missed. I grew a lot, and I’m always looking to go further in my Walk. And to make it even more fun, I got some 90’s style gel pens to take notes in, ha!

I just realized, Psalms and Proverbs are like the meat candy of the Bible. Nuggets of Spiritual nutrition. Awesome. I’m gonna go have a little Biblical Bacon, because my soul is always hungry for God’s Truth. I’ll leave you with this morsel:

Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest. Proverbs 20:4
